Based on the New Jersey and EPA-model curriculum, this course utilizes lectures, demonstrations, discussions and hands-on training to inform students on required procedure and how to comply with EPA, HUD, OSHA and State regulations. Individuals who will be responsible for supervision of lead abatement projects will learn safe, effective abatement procedures, worker protection and safety methods, contract planning, project management, the community relations process, clean up, clearance and waste disposal methods along with the latest legal issues and current regulations. The course will focus on interior and exterior abatement, dust abatement and lead contaminated soil abatement. An examination is given at the end of the course.

3-DAY EPA LEAD INSPECTOR INITIAL

January 11, 2021

Based on the EPA-model curriculum, this course covers the technical and legal aspects of lead-based paint inspections. Utilizing lecture, discussion, hands-on training and practice advice from experienced inspectors and risk assessors, students will learn state-of-the-art methods for determining lead in paint, soil and dust. Hands-on practice features a field trip where a mock inspection takes place.

4-DAY NEW JERSEY/EPA-MODEL LEAD PAINT WORKER TRAINING FOR HPB

Based upon the New Jersey and EPA-model curriculum, this course utilizes lecture, discussion, demonstration and hands-on training to inform students on complying with regulations and work procedures for lead-based paint abatement projects.

2-DAY NEW JERSEY/EPA-MODEL LEAD BASED PAINT PLANNER/PROJECT DESIGNER INITIAL FOR HPB

January 11, 2021

(PRE-REQUISITE - 5-DAY LEAD SUPERVISOR FOR HPB) Through the use of lectures, group participation and hands-on activities, this course provides the necessary information for professionals involved in lead-based paint abatement projects to learn how to specify safe and cost-effective projects designed to eliminate the health hazards of lead.
