1. What courses are offered online?

NJDOH Lead & Asbestos Refreshers, NYSDOH Asbestos Refreshers, NYSDOL Mold Refresher, EPA/AHERA Asbestos Refreshers, VAT Resilient Floor Refresher, 2-Hour Asbestos Awareness & HAZWOPER Refresher.

2. What are the requirements for taking an online course?


Reliable internet connection, a device with a camera and microphone

3. Is there a grace period after my training certificate has expired?

NJDOH Lead will give you a 90 day grace period

NJDOL Asbestos will give you a 1 year grace period

NYSDOH Asbestos will give you a 1 year grace period

NYDOL Mold will give you a 1 year grace period

EPA: No grace period

4. Where can I find the state application to renew, or for a new license ?

All state applications can be found on our website by visiting the following link: https://naeti.com/forms/

5. Who issues my physical license/permit?

NJDOH will issue your Lead Permit

NJDOL will issue your Asbestos Permit

NYSDOL will issue your Asbestos and Mold Permit

EPA: Lead Inspector, Risk Assessor, Designer, Worker or Supervisor. Certificate will be issued through the CDX system – More information on renewing EPA Credentials, Click here: https://cdx.epa.gov/

6. How often do I need to take a refresher course?

NJDOH Lead Refreshers are every 2 years

NJDOH & NYSDOH Asbestos Refreshers are every year

NYSDOL Mold Refresher is every year

EPA Lead Inspector & Risk Assessor is every 3 years

EPA Lead RRP & Dust Sampling Tech is every 5 years

7. What other services does NAETI offer besides Lead, Asbestos and Mold training?

8. What training courses have a prerequisite?

Asbestos:

Management Planner Initial – 1. Need to have taken and have an up-to-date Building Inspector Permit.

Lead:

Lead Supervisor Initial NJDOH – 1. A minimum of one (1) year experience as a Lead Abatement Worker; and 2. A minimum of two (2) years experience in a related field or the construction trades.

Lead Planner Designer Initial NJDOH – Must have a current Lead Supervisor Permit.

9. What training courses require a state exam?

Please see the list of courses below which requires a NJ State Exam. The third party exam is taken at a Person VUE testing center. The student is responsible for scheduling their state exam after completion of the course. This information is also reviewed on Day 1 & 5 of the course.

Asbestos:

5-DAY NEW JERSEY/NEW YORK STATE/EPA/AHERA ASBESTOS SUPERVISOR/CONTRACTOR INITIAL

Lead:

10. How do I sign up multiple employees under one transaction?

Registrations need to be done separately for each student. This is for the sake of keeping accurate information in our database. Should a company need to register multiple employees, please call our office directly.

11. How do I obtain a Lead or Asbestos in NJ or NYS if I already obtain the license in another state? (Reciprocity)

Reciprocity applications can be found on the “Forms” page of our site. The application should be filled out in advance to the refresher course, and sent directly to NJ or NYS Department of Health. Once approved, you will receive a letter which you will submit to NAETI on the day of the refresher course in order to receive the appropriate renewal certificate to obtain your permit/license.

19. What is NAETI's Refund Policy


Unless NAETI cancels this class, refunds are not allowed within 10 days of the start date. A credit will be rolled over to the course of your choice, or for the next available course that was registered for.
