3-DAY NEW YORK STATE/EPA/AHERA ASBESTOS PROJECT DESIGNER INITIAL

Course Description:

This seminar includes development of abatement specification and drawing including a field exercise for hands-on experiences, budgeting/cost estimating, contract preparation and administration, design of control measures, legal liabilities/defenses, role of other consultants and overview of abatement construction projects. Included in the course fee is a comprehensive Course Manual, Current Federal and State Regulations Manual, Respiratory Fit Test and NAETI Final Exam. (The complete NIBS-National Institute for Building Sciences Model Guideline Specifications Publication is an optional purchase).

A unique working/laboratory section in preparation of cost estimates, round table discussions on project problems, variables in design and project methodology with additional emphasis on specification preparation, is provided as an optional fourth day of training.

A passing score of 70% is required for successful completion. Upon successful completion, each student will receive a Certificate of Completion diploma and AHERA/New York State Photo Identification Card (if desired). There is no additional State or Federal exam required at this time.
