Based on the New Jersey and EPA-model curriculum, this course utilizes lectures, demonstrations, discussions and hands-on training to inform students on required procedure and how to comply with EPA, HUD, OSHA and State regulations. Individuals who will be responsible for supervision of lead abatement projects will learn safe, effective abatement procedures, worker protection and safety methods, contract planning, project management, the community relations process, clean up, clearance and waste disposal methods along with the latest legal issues and current regulations. The course will focus on interior and exterior abatement, dust abatement and lead contaminated soil abatement. An examination is given at the end of the course.
